Housing & Development Board (HDB) will be launching a location-based mobile interactive trails application (mobile app) for the public to know more about two HDB Towns in this initial launch and subsequently other HDB town across the island. The mobile trail for each town has two tracks, one as a learning self-guided trail and the other as a time-based competitive race. Both tracks will allow participants to learn about the history and interesting facts of the town and familiarize themselves to the surrounding of the towns. All hotspots content created can be triggered by GPS, Image Recognition and/or Blue-tooth Smart technologies upon the users arrival onsite. "Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life." [This application requires Location Services to run in both foreground and background to determine your approximate location using the Global Positioning System (GPS), network location sources such as mobile towers and Wi-Fi location information to trigger hotspot content upon arrival onsite.]
Requires iOS 8.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
